Soil Nail Walls

Soil nailing is a well suited excavation support and protection especially in situations with height, vibration, and noise restrictions This shoring method involves installing grouted steel tendons into drilled holes in soil or rock, embedding the nail heads and exposed cut in reinforced shotcrete. The soil nail wall is installed from top down in 5-7 ft steps until the bottom of excavation has been reached. The soil nail wall can be both temporary with a rough gunned finish or permanent with a wide range of architectural shotcrete finishes such as faux rock, patterns or flat troweled finishes. Advanced Shoring has installed over a million square feet of temporary and permanent soil nail walls in sizes ranging from 50 sf to over 50,000 sf and has adapted some of its equipment specifically to handle this type of work.
